Export Klaviyo data to Excel

Most people asking this have already tried the manual route: export one campaign, export the next, paste them into a sheet, repeat until the quarter is done. It works, and it is an hour of your life you will not get back.

How to do it

  1. Run the exportThe campaign and flow export pulls every campaign and every flow in one go, from Klaviyo's official Reporting API, into one CSV.
  2. Open it in ExcelDouble click the file. Excel opens CSVs natively. If your numbers come in as text, use Data, then Text to Columns, and set the types, or save as .xlsx once and it sticks.
  3. Or use Google SheetsFile, Import, Upload. Same file, same headers.
  4. Build your pivotNow you have every campaign and flow in one table, which is the shape a pivot table wants. Open rate by month, revenue by flow, whatever you were trying to build.
Worth knowing. If you are in a country that uses commas as decimal separators, tell Excel the file is comma-delimited when it asks, or your rates will land in the wrong column. This catches people out and it is not your fault.

The button that does step one

The export itself is one of our buttons. It reads from Klaviyo's official Reporting API, it is read-only, and it cannot change anything in your account even if it wanted to. Your API key is used for the run and never stored.

Questions people actually ask

Does Klaviyo have a Excel integration?

No. That is why you are reading this. Klaviyo's own exports are manual and per-surface, so the practical route is a clean CSV export that you load into Excel yourself. It takes a couple of minutes and it does not depend on a vendor building a connector.

Is my API key stored anywhere?

No. It is used in memory for the length of the run and it is gone when you close the tab. It is never written to a database and it never appears in a log. Revoke it in Klaviyo afterwards if you like; nothing here depends on it.

Can I see the data before I pay?

Yes. Every run starts with a free preview of exactly what was found in your account. You decide from there.
