How to export data from Klaviyo
Klaviyo can export, but only in pieces. You export one campaign, then another, then a flow, and you paste them together in a spreadsheet. Custom reports do not auto-refresh, so the file you built last month is stale and you get to do it again. That is the actual complaint behind most of these searches.
How to do it
- What Klaviyo gives you nativelyPer-campaign and per-flow exports, one surface at a time, downloaded by hand. Fine for one campaign. Painful for a quarter of them.
- What you probably want insteadEverything in one file. The campaign and flow export pulls both from the official Reporting API in one run and hands back a single CSV, on demand, whenever you need it fresh.
- Open it wherever you workExcel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau. It is a plain CSV, so it goes anywhere. Load it into BigQuery or Redshift if that is where your reporting lives.
- Re-run it wheneverThere is no scheduled refresh to configure and nothing to maintain. Run it when you need the numbers, get the current numbers.
The button that does step one
The export itself is one of our buttons. It reads from Klaviyo's official Reporting API, it is read-only, and it cannot change anything in your account even if it wanted to. Your API key is used for the run and never stored.
Questions people actually ask
Does Klaviyo have a a spreadsheet or a BI tool integration?
No. That is why you are reading this. Klaviyo's own exports are manual and per-surface, so the practical route is a clean CSV export that you load into a spreadsheet or a BI tool yourself. It takes a couple of minutes and it does not depend on a vendor building a connector.
Is my API key stored anywhere?
No. It is used in memory for the length of the run and it is gone when you close the tab. It is never written to a database and it never appears in a log. Revoke it in Klaviyo afterwards if you like; nothing here depends on it.
Can I see the data before I pay?
Yes. Every run starts with a free preview of exactly what was found in your account. You decide from there.
